ACHF Arts Access
More than 400 people will attend the Saint Cloud Film Festival. We will have at least 50 films submitted from groups of filmmakers around the region. We expect to be able to show 40 short films - we may be able to show more depending on run times. The Saint Cloud Film Festival will offer 25 opportunities for graphic designers to create original movie poster art work based on the submitted films. There will be an online ballot for favorite poster - we'll have over 500 votes submitted. With over 5,000 website hits at StCloudFilmFest.com we'll know that through our efforts to reach the community we have created a strong online presence. By having 400 people in attendance, 50 films submitted, 25 unique posters created, and website that can generate awareness for us year round we will have accomplished our goals of establishing a solid foundation to build on in the future. We will count the number of tickets sold to calculate our attendance numbers. We'll advertise the event and website to filmmakers for submissions. The application will require information about who worked on the project, their position, and how many were adults/minors. We will take applications and count up the number of total projects that were submitted and the total amount of artists (directors, actors, writers, adults, children, etc) that participated in creating the shorts. We have a lot of connections to the graphic design world through our committee. They will talk within their community and have assured us that there is interest in participating. We'll also talk to the design students at Saint Cloud State University as well as send out notices to other nearby colleges. The 25 (or more) posters will be eligible for awards from judges and from the people who visit the website. By placing those posters around the area along with the rest of our efforts to drive hits to the website we'll be able to accumulate 500 votes which will be counted by the tallier. All of our advertisement will drive people to www.stcloudfilmfest.com for dates/tickets/submission info/voting/etc. In order to measure our online presence we will use the site-host's provided hit counter. In-person submissions also accepted by either Cy Cords at the Saint Cloud Times or Dan Barth at Pioneer Place Theatre - both in St Cloud.
To count attendance we used the amount of tickets (paid and comped) collected at the doors to tell us that we had a total attendance of 343 people. From our Film Submission Application we were able to collect information about how many adults and minors p
