The production of ôThe Magical Pied Piperö will provide quality entertainment, create new audiences in student and senior citizen populations, and provide an opportunity for new people, both youth and adults, to pursue their interests in Bemidji Community Theater through acting and stagecraft activities.Attendance for ôthe Magical Pied Piperö will be compared to previous Bemidji Community Theater childrenÆs productions. For school matinees teacher packets will include a student survey to evaluate if this was the studentÆs first theater experience and if they would want to attend another theater performance in the future. For the public performances surveys will evaluate if this was the audience memberÆs first theater experience and if they would want to attend another theater performance in the future. The survey will also ask the respondentÆs age. A talk-back will be scheduled after the first public performance to allow audience members to discuss any issues with the cast, crew and directors. We will also compile a list of the people who are new to Bemidji Community Theater delineating their involvement in acting and stagecraft activities.
We were able to cast 39 actors ranging in age from 10 to 50 plus 12 support people for this production. There were 14 new youths and 2 new adults participating. Based on the audience reaction we provided another quality show for the people of Bemidji and
