Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Minnesota artists are able to expand or further develop their artistic abilities through varied learning opportunities.

Measurable Outcome(s)

As a musician I was very comfortable with the musical score but the theater aspect of the musical was a challenging yet enjoyable experience. In researching this project I went to see many solo theater acts including Zaraawar Mistry's "The Other Mr. Gandhi" and Katie Ka Vang's "Hmong Bollywood." I learned that a theater performance takes many years to develop and multiple workshops until it becomes a final product. I learned from Katie Ka Vang that "Hmong Bollywood" took over five years to put together and has had many incarnations. Although it will take many more performances and years of acting for me to develop my acting skills, I now know what I need to strive for and I am encouraged by my success this far.
