Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Minnesota artists are able to expand or further develop their artistic abilities through varied learning opportunities.

Measurable Outcome(s)

This was a wonderful experience. I created solos for myself, as I proposed. I also created solos for the two other older dancers I worked with- Erin Thompson and Judith Howard. I was able to create a full work that included the solos I created for Erin and Judith, performed at the Cowles. The ones I created for myself helped with my process. Through this project, I absolutely gained much greater understanding of movement that can be generated by and for the older female dancer, and this will have major impact on my work as I move forward. My evaluation was very much a self-assessment conducted throughout the process by looking at what I was creating, checking in with myself and the dancers to ensure that we weren't sliding into familiar patterns, but really reaching and exploring to take our bodies and the work into new territory.
