Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Minnesota artists are able to expand or further develop their artistic abilities through varied learning opportunities. Minnesota artists are able to develop business skills needed to support their professional art work. More Minnesotans are able to engage in or with the work of Minnesota artists.

Measurable Outcome(s)

I had shown the photographs in Portland, Oregon at Newspace Center for Photography and then went on to show them at Independent Filmmaker Project in St Paul, Minnesota. The work will be featured as I will be part of a panel discussion at The Walker Art Center for the McKnight Fellowship. 2: I expanded my series of military families that have a loved one serving in Iraq and/or Afghanistan to include the soldiers themselves. The war in Iraq had shifted its focus and was coming to an end, so I that it was the appropriate choice. From this body of work I was given an assignment with the New York Times magazine which is known for using fine art artists.
