Lumberjack Demonstrations and Show
To present a three day lumberjack show that will showcase the lumberjack skills of today and yesterday.
These amounts are appropriated to the commissioner of agriculture for grants to county agricultural societies to enhance arts access and education and to preserve and promote Minnesota's history and cultural heritage as embodied in its county fairs. The grants shall be in addition to the aid distributed to county agricultural societies under Minnesota Statutes, section 38.02. The commissioner shall award grants as follows: (1) $700,000 each year distributed in equal amounts to each of the state's county fairs to enhance arts access and education and to preserve and promote Minnesota's history and cultural heritage;
Track attendance at demonstrations.Talk with children and their parents about their experience at the kids camp.Track age range and reactions of attendees.
Each demonstration had 200-300 people in attendance.The children were excited to meet the lumberjacks and learn lumberjack skills.The parents were appreciative of the unique learning opportunity afforded their children.The age range of attendees ranged from children in strollers to senior citizens in wheelchairs. Their reactions were very positive and people were engaged in the presentations.
