Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

1. More people will become aware of community artists, as well as different types of art. 2. The General Public that participates in the Arts Travelers will be able to understand the impact of visual art throughout St Cloud. 3. Families can use this visual arts event as an excursion to build dialog and understanding of visual arts in everyday life. 1. More artists will start discussing artwork with other artists, in order to develop their vocabulary and technique. 2. The artists will learn more about the artistic process through the engagement with a more experienced artist. 3. By including the opportunity for artists to photograph their work and use online submission forms, the artists will develop professional skills outside of their art technique (business) that is necessary to show their work to a larger audience. 1. Everyday people" will engage in the discussion of art. 2. The extended time period of Art Travelers will allow the audience to invite and engage their friends and family in the process. 3. By including new technologies in the voting process, new generations of art enthusiasts will be embraced in the process. As experienced during the 2011 Art ala Carte exhibition, where visitors during the art crawl voted for their favorite pieces, we expect that visitors will invest time and attention to "their voting rights and responsibilities" in the Arts Travelers competition. This will not only increase the participation, but rather the engagement level of the audience. 1. The number of submissions will be calculated in the following categories: Online enrollment, paper enrollment by either "download" or snaimail. 2. We will survey artists for their assessment of the value of this arts experience, with questions such as: What reactions did your work evoke among participants? What did they like the best? Like the least? What feelings, ideas or questions did their experience evoke? 3. Observational Assessment of Participation: We will ask the following questions to evaluate participation: How many artists took part in the critiques, art reception or art crawl? How involved were they in the artistic dialog? How did individuals participate in your event? Did they stay for the entire event? Did they attend multiple times? Did they take advantage of all participation opportunities? 4. The number of "votes" for the Arts Travelers exhibit will help us calculate the community participation throughout the duration of the exhibit.

Measurable Outcome(s)

We used technology to encourage participation, track interest and assess success in these exhibits. Facebook was utilized to get feedback on artwork and to encourage the artists.
