Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

1. To be a company representing the best dancers internationally in whom versatility is expected and ballet's traditional boundaries are exceeded. 2. To offer a renowned school with superlative classical and contemporary training. 3. To make our performances and educational opportunities accessible to widely diverse communities. Evaluate the number of ticket buyers, donors, participants, and students; reviews and feedback from participating artists. Measure choreographers' interest in creating work with us and international choreographers’ willingness to have their work performed by Minnesota Dance Theater.

Measurable Outcome(s)

1. Minnesota Dance Theater and School represents the best dancers internationally, in whom versatility is expected and ballet's traditional boundaries are exceeded, enabling performance of dynamic repertory spanning diverse genres. We attract and work in partnership with acclaimed choreographers--local, national and international--and create depth and breadth of repertory by commissioning new work. Minnesota Dance Theater/Dance Institute provides a critical opportunity for dancers to earn a living and also provides the conduit through which dancers contribute to the artistic vitality of the community. 2. Minnesota Dance Theater and School is a renowned school with superlative classical and contemporary training, where versatility is the goal and an expanded curriculum is in place that opens possibilities to its students both in and beyond professional dance careers. Former Dance Institute students can be found in companies across the world as well as in many local dance companies. 3. To make our performances and educational opportunities accessible to widely diverse communities, Minnesota Dance Theater/Dance Institute provided discounted tickets for children and students. Annually, the organization grants nearly $50,000 in need-based scholarships.
