County Fair Legacy Project
We are excited to bring in a group that will provide some authentic "German" heritage. The "Concord Singers" from New Ulm, Minnesota will delight the fairgoers with the heritage that has been preserved, nurtured and cherished. They will perform their festive German tunes that have been inherited from their ancestors. Another new event that we will have is Draugr Forge. Zach is a bladesmith that will be demonstrating his ability to make various knives and tools using his forging skills. We believe this is an area that is of interest to many of our fairgoers and they will even offer a class for kids. We are excited to have this opportunity.
We expect that 200 people will come to see the Concord Singers on Wednesday, August 14th. This is a free show under the tent and we do not charge to come to the fair.
We anticipate that 100 people will daily watch the demonstrations on blacksmithing. We anticipate that 30-50 kids will be able to participate in trying this skill throughout the 4 day event. Our fair does not charge a gate fee so it is hard to determine how many will be there.
