County Fair Legacy Project
We will provide a variety of free music, educational activities, and programing for fairgoers of all ages. Minnesota artists will provide various types of music such as country, blues, rock, pop, folk, and polka. We are also working with the Goodhue County Historical Society to provide presentations and activities to educate and promote Minnesota history and culture. Partnering with the Anderson Center, we wish to bring an artist to demonstrate their skills. This year, we are planning to bring a glass blower to our fair. Finally, we will provide an opportunity for fairgoers to share their creative side with a painting activity.
We will have fair board directors take a count during musical performances. Estimated attendance:
Leonard McCracken - 75
Dave Carpenter & Friends - 75
Ryan Sullivan - 75
Troy Aron Johnson - 125
George's Concertina Band - 125
Bryan Anderson - 150
Foster Grand - 300
During fair week, we expect 200 people to check out the Historical Society programs and activities in the old schoolhouse. Glassblower we estimate up to 100 fairgoers will stop, observe and ask questions. We will have 50 rocks available for the painting activity.
