Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

A separate, dedicated fund will be established for the bronze sailor statue project and is and will be included as an option for designation of donations during our annual and ongoing fund-raising campaigns and events. As more projects are planned, developed and completed in the park there is an increase in support and interest and as a result will attract more visitors. The goal, as stated in the parks' mission statement would be to continue to offer an educational opportunity for all visitors and members of the surrounding communities to learn more about those that have defended and served their country. The veterans park is located along US Hwy 10 and MN Hwy 210 and has a high level of visibility and easy access to a large volume of daily local and out of town traffic. A significant increase in the number of visitors to the Park and a very positive response to the progress in its development has been observed. Therefore any additions to the park, such as the bronze sailor will create more interest, visitors and educational opportunities.
