ACHF Arts Access
We want our older residents with often limited or no access to professional theater to have that experience. Chanhassen Dinner Theater is renowned for its quality performances, and we feel this particular show, White Christmas, will be especially nostalgic and fun for this age group. As we grow our local arts council, we want to continue targeting our underserved populations and offer a variety of arts experiences for them. While we are also working on local, homegrown options for all of our groups, we recognize that not all things are possible in our little town and are grateful this venue is near enough for a day trip. In the days following the performance we plan to reach out to individual participants and ask about their experience, then inquire as to what other opportunities they'd like to see for people their age. The participants will serve as a focus group of sorts, and we will value their opinion as the first ones to jump on board with our inaugural "older adults" venture. Hosting a smaller group like this makes it feasible to contact them individually, and each board member will contribute.
