Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

We hope to provide an opportunity for individual musical expression and growth among band members, provide opportunities for contact between musicians of varying proficiencies for the purpose of continued musical growth as well as community fellowship, and to foster shared experiences between members of varying ages. We also try to keep the tradition of the community band alive in our area. Audience members come to enjoy the music, and musicians receive fulfillment in sharing their talent. Hopefully our band inspires some young students to take up an instrument in school. Besides providing enjoyable entertainment, each concert's program notes and comments by the directors educates the audience about the music and the historical times in which the music was written. We will survey the audience at this year's concerts about their experience with our music and whether they think our concerts add to the artistic life of our community.
