The project will be a catalyst for future a cappella singing at our school. This is a style of music that we have been wanting to get into for a number of years, but have never quite been able to take the leap. We hope to reach more students and bring singers into our group(s) that may have not had a place they felt they wanted to sing before. We believe that this project will truly inspirational for our students. Every student at the school will the opportunity to hear and see the group. All choir students will work together with the artists during class. The select group of students will have the opportunity to sing side by side with professionals which could be life changing for some. Students will complete one of three surveys: general school audience, 5-12 choir students, and Valley Harmonies participants. We will evaluate before and after their knowledge about a cappella, feelings towards a cappella, and skills known versus skills learned.
