ACHF Arts Access
It is our goal to train up to 12 community members through this Story Portrait Workshop opportunity. Research on trauma has shown that using art allows people to move beyond emotional pain. When people create a narrative through images, they release painful memories and can begin to process their traumatic experience. The act of creating a collage story portrait provides an artistic outlet for healing, inner peace, and moving through grief and sadness. It is our goal with this community Story Portrait Workshop that we can provide a powerful outlet for grief, trauma, and loss. Measurements of success for this workshops will include post-event surveys for each participant.
