The computer we currently have in our box office often needs to be restarted because it freezes up, stopping the sales of tickets for our events. It lacks the proper security updates because the hardware is too old to run the most current operating system. Our current laptop is also lacking the hardware to upgrade, so it also does not have the proper security updates. It also has a touchscreen that is causing the screen to flicker, meaning it is useless when someone wants to use our projector for a presentation. Both machines are needed for the basic operation and success of our venue. This will help us serve the community with more efficiency and securely, as well as provide services for those who use The Palace for presentations. The success will be measured by how smoothly things will run with the new computers.
