Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Our public art projects have been very well received so we are looking for new ideas for more. Developing projects such as this takes time and money, however, so the infusion of operating funds is essential to our existence. One area we are struggling with is membership retention and expansion. Our membership is aging and people are either leaving the area or unable to contribute for other reasons. We are hopeful that our new website and logo will help, but know it will take time and perseverance to get and keep the word out there and reach more people in the community. Again, though, marketing takes money, so this financial support is vital. Our goal to increase membership in and awareness of the Arts Council will be measured by figures and anecdotal evidence. When we have events we usually have an evaluation tool. We will be able to track responses to our Facebook messages and Constant Contact postings, ?hits? on our website and membership growth. These will be closely monitored, recorded and shared at our monthly Board meetings. We will know we have succeeded if membership and volunteerism are increased as a result of our efforts.
