Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

We hope to increase access to theater that connects to audiences and artists from the Karen community. Bringing this story to our community takes away the barrier to travel to the Twin Cities. Many would never otherwise have the opportunity to witness a remarkable story told live. The arts allow communities to see themselves and their stories accurately reflected. The project is highly significant to the community. Presenting a theater production, especially one that highlights the Karen culture, is unprecedented for us. The production will serve as a platform to showcase different cultures and inspire students to pursue their dreams in art, theater, and music. This initiative will contribute to the school and community's understanding of the diverse cultures present in Worthington. I will organize a group discussion with the after-school program group at NCIC (Nobles County Integration Collaborative) and record their feedback through a Google Form survey or gather comments that they make through comments and gestures. Additionally, I will distribute a quick survey via Google Forms to the audience after they finish the play. They can use smart devices or a paper copy related to the show.
