ACHF Arts Access ACHF Arts Education
By having the resident artists visit the students, they would learn from a professional, working artist. They will also get exposure to artforms they may not get in their respective art programs. This experience will be impactful to the students because they will gain knowledge from other artist students, other art teachers/coaches, and professional artists. They will have the chance to reflect on their ?own artwork, see the impact it has on other art students and ?community members, and in turn, ?this ?may alter the attitude they have towards their artwork. This may cause the students to change their ?style or undertake a completely ?new art medium. All of these things will promote ?artistic growth in the participants. I ?plan to survey the students ?who participate to learn how they were impacted by the experience and what they expect to ?do moving forward as an artist. Any growth ?or ?reflection in their ?artwork is beneficial. They will also have access to the judge's scoring and critiques which they can utilize when making decisions in their artwork. They may ?also receive feedback from community members that they will use to improve their artistic choices.
