Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

I am trying to spread joy and inspire others to create art through this work. I hope to spark community interaction and celebration of these community spaces.; My goal is to increase the range of what people consider hiring local chalk art for. Also, I am hoping to bring whimsical joy to sidewalks in neighborhoods that are not as richly gifted with public art as other spots around the northland. Last summer I demonstrated my ability and commitment to completing similar chalk art projects around Duluth: I completed a 4 week series of 10' by 10' history murals last summer with funding from the ARAC, a 56' long history mural featuring animal portraits at the Lake Superior Zoo, and a series of four migratory birds in Lakeside. I've learned to manage my time and pacing for creating public art, and better social skills for interacting with public in a non-traditional art venue. ; I will know this has been accomplished if I am asked or hired to make chalk art for any new clients interested in a sidewalk mural to promote their event, team, activity, or location. I will know if this promotes joy by taking notes on local feedback while working, and returning to sites to observe for public interaction with the art pieces.
