Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The exhibition will be open to the public, as will the artist talk that will accompany the work. In addition, the work will include a participatory element with the potential to read or hear Kyle's work in combination with the visual, creating space for development of a third, combined work in the process. The hope would be to connect with our community and offer more opportunities for conversation and growth. ; In an act of co-creation, I intend to make five works that are inspired directly by Kyle Leia's poems, and exhibit this work connected to themes of healing and wholeness. Additionally I intend to have the work and previous pieces professionally documented with resulting digital files in both RGB and CMYK format, which will allow for potential publication and promotion. As a practicing painter, I've had the great fortune of creating and exhibiting work locally as evidenced by my submitted resume. This grant will support time, materials and documentation towards an exciting new collaboration, and while I haven't done anything specifically in this type of collaboration, I do have experience co-creating other kinds of work, namely public murals. Additionally funding to support the documenting of the work appropriately will have not only great impact on this project, but also on future proposals and use of my work broadly. ; My outcomes will be measured by: 1. The completion and exhibition of the paintings alongside Kyle's writing, with optional surveys by attendees around the experience of the work in multiple facets. I will share the survey outcomes in my final report. 2. The documentation of the work, and implementation of it on my website and promotional materials, in both print and digital forms. I will share an example image of this work in my final report.
