As a result of this program, adult with disabilities and mental illness will learn new skills in printmaking, photography and other visual arts. Participation will increase skills and confidence that allow individuals to overcome and challenge personal beliefs that hold them back, to allow them to pursue goals of trying new things, creating, sharing, exhibiting and selling their art in community settings. Evaluation methods include a survey to the teaching artists, guest artist and clients administered after the class to measure engagement, quality of learning, if goals were met and what the individuals would like to change in the target audience of adults with Intellectual developmental disabilities and pervasive mental illness. The data will then be used to evaluate success of programming and used to plan future programming. Data will also be used to report on individual goals during yearly planning meetings with programming team to establish goals for upcoming programming year.
