Participation will increase skills and confidence that allow individuals to overcome and challenge personal beliefs that hold them back, to allow pursuit of goals of trying new things, creating art, sharing art, exhibiting art and selling their art in community settings. Participating in the arts will help increase confidence to help individuals integrate in their community. Evaluation methods include a survey to the teaching artists, guest artist, clients and community participants after the class to measure engagement, quality of learning, if goals were met and what the individuals would like to change. Do we need any accommodations for any to the participants' The data will be used to evaluate the success of programming to to plan future programming. Data will also be used to report individual progress for DAC artists during their yearly planning meetings with program team, families and caseworkers to establish goals for the upcoming program year. Data will also be use to establish financial budgets for future programming and help us choose artists for future workshops.
