Conditions Assessment and Maintenance Program for the Stone House Museum
To hire a qualified architect to conduct a conditions assessment of the circa 1872 Stone House Museum, part of the Marine on St. Croix Historic District that is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
$5,982,000 the first year and $7,000,000 the second year are for statewide historic and cultural grants to local, county, regional, or other historical or cultural organizations or for activities to preserve significant historic and cultural resources. Money must be distributed through a competitive grant process. The Minnesota Historical Society must administer the money using established grant mechanisms, with assistance from the advisory committee created under Laws 2009, chapter 172, article 4, section 2, subdivision 4, paragraph (b), item (ii).

Short term window: a succinct, easy to read document was submitted by Collaborative Design to the City. Community, Council, Staff and Public works were given a presentation by Collaborative Designs. Target Achieved.
Intermediate Term: now- fall 2024; we will get together with Public Works and City Council to confirm prioritized proposed future work and its execution. Additionally, the formation of a new nonprofit to care/curate for interior museum objects has occurred so that is fortuitous. Target Achieved
Long term: 2025-2035: Continue building stewardship through budget commitment talks, ongoing prioritized care and partnership programming with new non profit. Target Achieved
