Camille J. Gage Artist Fellowship
$55,000.00 the first year and $55,000.00 the second year are for a grant to YWCA Minneapolis to fund an annual fellowship to be known as the Camille J. Gage Artist Fellowship. Of this amount, up to $5,000 each year may be used for administrative expenses. YWCA Minneapolis must select a person for the Camille J. Gage Artist Fellowship after an application process that allows both applications by interested persons and nominations of persons by third parties. By October 1, 2026, YWCA Minneapolis must report to the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees and divisions with jurisdiction over legacy on the use of money appropriated under this paragraph and on the activities of the person selected for the Camille J. Gage Artist Fellowship under this paragraph. This appropriation is available until June 30, 2026.
The proposed measurable outcomes for the CJGF include:
1.Fellow will develop a project proposal to include measurable outcomes, evaluation methods, budget and a budget distribution plan for the year-long fellowship term that sets to achieve a meaningful and increased impact for the community.
2.Fellow reports an increase in audience, networks, and community connections demonstrated by a minimum of 10 local and statewide media impressions and an increase in followers on the fellows' professional digital platforms by 1,000+ across the term of the fellowship.
3.Completion of a minimum of one self-designed professional development opportunity that the fellow would not have access to otherwise without the funding and resources the fellowship provides as well as a summary via a written, oral, and/or visual share out of the resulting impact on their project and larger working practice with the committee.
4.Successful implementation of the proposed project deliverables demonstrated by achieving the desired outcomes during the fellowship term and creating a written, oral, and/or visual share out of the fellowship years activities and experiences at the end of the fellowship term.
5.Achievement of a scale in the CJG Fellow's current impact on communities in a way that the CJG Fellow can articulate to be meaningful to them as well as relevant to the proposed activities of the fellowship term.
