County Fair Legacy Project
The McLeod County Fair will contract with Minnesota artists of various talents and styles of music from polka bands to multi-piece bands and acoustic performers that cover original songs to classic hits from a variety of genres. We strive to cover a broad range of styles that suit all aged attendees of our fair, as well as providing the opportunity to expose new music styles to those that may not have otherwise considered listening elsewhere. All of the performances will take place in our Entertainment Pavilion that is centrally located in the middle of our fairgrounds amongst all of the activity and easy for all to access.
With free admission for all attendees again this year, we anticipate our crowd numbers to be higher than previous years. We expect that at least 100 people will attend each of the scheduled shows throughout the duration of the 4-day fair. We will assign a volunteer to take attendance at least once, preferably at the busiest point throughout the duration of each of the scheduled performances, in addition to documenting with pictures to refer back to. The setting for these performances is an open sided pavilion with no single entry point. A portion of guests tend to come and go throughout the performance, then continue on with their experience at the fair.
