Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

From this project, we feel MHS can promote local artists, offer the healing benefits of art to our patients and residents, and provide a meaningful art experience in rural Minnesota. Currently the link is just a passage, but we feel once this project is complete, we can consider the link an exciting destination and experience. By encouraging local individuals to apply, we want to give them the opportunity and confidence to know they have a skill that has merit. We want this project to impact the artists' creative journeys, and we hope that other local businesses and organizations will follow MHS's footsteps in this project by supporting and promoting the arts. One way we plan to measure success is by the conversations this project generates. Do we hear of patients and residents requesting to go to the link? Are staff actively offering this service to the patients and residents as part of their care or as an additional intervention? We plan to have a survey for MHS staff to fill out in regard to the link and how it has affected patients and residents. Approximately six months after the open house, we will have the artists fill out a survey explaining how the Link Project has affected them and their artistic growth.
