Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

For the first time in almost three decades, I am not in some sort of caregiver position. I am trying to figure out the rest of 'me' now... and painting has become increasingly important in that process. I've reached this crazy point where I think that some of my work just might appeal to others, and I would like to build on that, as well. I am hoping that a time of intentional focus on my painting will result in improvement in various techniques, more knowledge regarding the whats/hows/whys of paint mixing, and in my ability to convey something through a piece that resonates in someone else. I am also hoping for increased confidence... in myself and in my work. I have been asked by a family member if I would be willing to donate some pieces to a fundraiser by an animal rescue organization. Participating in that event, comparing old to new works, increased willingness to show my work and get feedback, and setting up some sort of artist page or website would all be indicators of time well spent.
