Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

My goal is to increase the number of community and fiber guild members actively involved in natural dyeing and wet felting in the Duluth community. For personal reasons, the collaborative a supportive environment provided by a vibrant fiber community will help me to be a better artist and to continue to develop my artistic pathway. From a business perspective, a rising tide floats all boats. Fiber artists are generally underrepresented in art shows and in galleries. As the fiber community grows so will those opportunities and the opportunity to my farm to help non-growers get access to high quality, locally and sustainably grown, naturally dyed wool. Project specific goals include? - Have a minimum of 7 participants at each monthly workshop (minimum of 5 paying participants and up to 2 scholarships) - Collect written and/or online surveys after each workshop to get feedback on what worked, what didn't, how to improve and other topics they would like to see offered. - Interact with 200+ public members via the public event (as indicated by a sign in sheet) - Increase participation in the existing DFG felting study group to a minimum of 12 regular/active members - Start a DFG natural dyeing study group - Increase # of DFG members, by bringing on a minimum of 10 new members - Email sign up lists will be provided at all events for individuals to join Cindy Hale's artist email list and/or the DFG email list - Cindy will sell at least 5 significant finished pieces at Lake Superior 20/20 Studio Tour - Sales of naturally dyed yarn, wool roving and batting and pre-felts through farmers markets and online sales will double over sales in 2022.
