Modern Quilt Walkabout Lincoln Park will build public awareness of both the modern quilt movement and of local quilt artists by showcasing the artistic possibilities in nontradtional quilt design.

The Walkabout goal is to engage wider community conversations about art, highlight the creative culture of our region, and share the work our members are doing with modern design concepts. We are keeping in mind LSMQG's guiding principals which include developing and encouraging the art of modern quilting, encouraging new quilters, and offering educational opportunities. Engage a wider community > Public viewing and free access Highlight the creative culture of our region > Show work of Arrowhead regional quilters Develop and encourage the art of modern quilting > One quilt in each location replicates a QR code so viewers can link back to LSMQG website > Updated website shares resources on regional and local modern quilting and quilters Offer educational opportunities > Public presentations March 2 and 18 > Walkabout signage describes modern features of quilt display > Video of presentations available on our website Share information > Social media ads for Walkabout events We will: > Collect reactions and comments from website visitors through a short survey > Feature a guest book at each show site to include a comment section > Note attendance at our events > Note anecdotal comments > Post video recordings of presentations > Track guild membership increase > See 50% increase in followers on social media > See 100% increase in sharing guild posts on Facebook and Instagram > Use analytics available on social media to see an increase in activity on our sites Whenever a quilter is available for customer interaction, s/he will complete a feedback form answering questions reflecting the type and extent of the interaction. We will count viewers who link with the QR code, provide feedback forms to businesses gathering comments and impressions observed and, complete questionnaires regarding the success of the event and their interest in replicating it.
