Project Details

Sponsor three residencies with visual artist McFaul Reid, writing with Peters, and spoken word with Sentwali, and produce the Write On series in the newspaper with Julie Elick.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

As a result of this program, students in grade 6 at Roseau Elementary will create nature paintings inspired by and with methods taught by artist, Anne McFaul Reid. Evaluation will occur through a student/teacher survey of their feelings about the residency and a follow up discussion with the artist.

Students enjoyed creating a variety of art and completing writing projects during the four residencies.
