As a result of this program, participants chosen will experience increased knowledge about broadcasting as a medium as well as elements regarding what constitutes a good broadcast script and performance through hands on training dealing with vocal variety and manipulation of words by one-on-one interaction with mentors David Quam, Mary Knox-Johnson, and Anne Marie Newman. Evaluation methods include surveys and anecdotal evidence gathered during the learning process and formal surveys completed at the end of a broadcast session given to individual participants administered by the mentors or advisor to the group.
As a result of this program, 4 young people learned how to produce broadcasts but also live stream, podcast, and upload videos to youtube bringing theater to a broader range of people of all ages, thus instilling the arts into the community and public lif
