ACHF Arts Access
The Grand Park mural will be the second piece of public art in Madison, part of our goal of three public art pieces in five years. We hope the mural will generate more support for public art in Madison and help us to continue our learning process. Another goal is for the community to think the finished mural adds beauty to Grand Park, and to start conversations around appreciation for art and music. We also hope to have good community participation in painting the mural. When the project is complete, we will survey the community through our local media and Facebook page, as well as collecting comments at the site.
The City of Madison would not be able to fund a public art piece of this magnitude on its own. The mural is an unexpected feature in a small town like Madison and it give us a new dimension as a community. Special places like Grand Park generates pride in
