ACHF Arts Access
This project will allow me to change my art-making process, giving me time to work and live in the landscapes I'm painting. I'm hoping that by working outside, I can grow as an artist and find new ways of making art. I'm also planning to sell the work in the exhibition already scheduled, which will advance my career (if all goes well). During the course of this project, I will be painting a collection that will eventually be shown in the Grand Hand Gallery. The show is up for a month, but paintings will be available for sale indefinitely through the store front gallery and the online art catalogue. The outcome measurements would include a head count of the art show reception as well as the number of new social media followers (specifically instagram and my website). Sales will also be part of measuring the impact of this grant. Invoices for paintings sold will be provided by the Grand Hand.
The plein air experiences I've had in the past were restricted to proper technique and process, with paintings made entirely in front of a real landscape. I feel that I found a way to blend my usual art-making practice with outdoor painting, expanding my
