ACHF Arts Education
I would like to continue to grow in my abilities to draw realistic images such as animals and landscapes. I look forward to working one on one with another teaching artist. I would be able to ask questions as I work and have heard great recommendations about the artist, Mrs. Steffen. I also think that having private lessons with Mrs. Steffen would help me grow in my self confidence in art and help me appreciate my own style and skills instead of being frustrated with not getting it perfect. I hope to draw at least 3 different drawings and have my mentor give me feedback and critique my work. I hope my 3rd project will be the best work and demonstrate improvement in drawing and shading skills. My school art teacher, Mrs. Setrum would like to see what I create this summer also and has offered to display my art in school this fall if chosen for this opportunity.
This was helpful as it was one-on-one time with an instructor and really helped me develop my drawing skills. I learned a lot of tricks to make the details better. We did some mini pictures of different textures of fur and feathers. I also learned how to
