I have 3 goals for this project. The first is to bring joy to our community this holiday season using the skills I have acquired in my position at Ely Area Television. The second goal is to teach the students in Ely Community Resource's Video Production Club some practical knowledge of what it is like to work on a set, and understand a bit more about how videos are actually made. This would be measured by reaching out to the students afterwards and asking them what it is they have learned, and which aspect of the production process they enjoyed the most. The third is to grow as a video producer and learn new aspects of videography. This could include new shot compositions, lighting arrangements, and the post-production process. To gauge the community response, comment cards will be circulated asking the community for their feedback on the program and the event. For the students in the Ely Community Resource's Video Production Club we will have a meeting and ask them what it is they have learned, and which aspect of the production process they enjoyed the most. From there I would use the information gathered to help direct the students on future projects.
