Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

As a result of attending any of these workshops, 100 % of participants will significantly increase their knowledge and confidence in working with leather crafts on their own. Their skill level will increase through the use of sewing techniques including choosing the correct leather for a project, basic sewing stitches, correct placement of patterns and how to sew fur on to leather. Students will be able to apply their new skills to new projects of their own. Evaluation methods include a survey administered at the end of the class to measure skills and knowledge learned by participants.

As a result of this program, "Traditional Native Arts", the workshop participants, experienced an increase in the skills needed for leather skin and fur sewing by learning how to hand sew moccasins, mittens, and gauntlets. The students will be able to app
