ACHF Arts Access
I am the type of visual artist who continually seeks new challenges in my studio practice. My new interest in vinyl pushes me closer to the textile arts, a discipline I have worked on the edges of for years. With this project I will further refine my skills in the textile arts through the mastery of producing vinyl tapestries, sculptures, and installations. As my craftsmanship with vinyl/textile arts grows more refined, I intend to have a significant body of work within the next two years to apply to two specific artist opportunities: The MAEP at the MiA and the McKnight Fellowship for Fiber Artists. These opportunities are the next professional bench marks appropriate for the next stage of my artistic career. I will seek feedback from curators and peers on the progress and success of this work.
