Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The Honey Bee Festival Goals are to provide a high quality, Covid-safe event showcasing diverse regional artists and creatives, celebrate our region's quality of life, and build support for pollinators. Our measurable outcomes are to: 1) Bring area residents together to host a large scale event in the Historic West End of Cloquet - an area with significance for Native and Non-Native residents 2) Fairly compensate musicians and other creatives who perform or participate 3) Build regional awareness of the NE MN Bee Friendly Corridor and the importance of pollinators 4) Bring new visitors to our region 5) Stimulate our region's economy 6) Encourage a sense of community pride and cohesiveness. The Hospitality/Security Team carries responsibility for measuring the success of the Honey Bee Festival. They will conduct brief interviews and provide written evaluations to measure improvements in: 1. Creatives and community members reporting greater levels of respect and appreciation for the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of Native and Non-Native residents and greater commitment to equity and inclusion 2. Creatives reporting better quality and impact of their work 3. Creatives having more marketing channels to reach their constituents and build their audiences 4. Local businesses and organizations supporting, sponsoring, acquiring, using and displaying local creatives' work. 5. Residents reporting that local creatives have had a positive impact in our region's vitality 6. Visitors to the region reporting they were drawn here by our creative offerings 7. Creatives and participants reporting willingness to recommend the event to others and to attend future events
