The Playhouse will celebrate 50 season of community theater in Grand Marais in 2022. The celebration was delayed due to the pandemic.. The Playhouse has decided to return to its original calendar for the 2022 season with community youth play in March and three summer plays performing for two weekends each. One at the end of June, July and August. The season will end with another community youth play in the fall. The Playhouse will retrieve memories from its archives to have on display in the lobby of the theater as well as in community spaces, newspaper, website and at a booth at the annual Fishermans' Picinic, the town's annual community celebration. The Playhouse will collaborate with other community arts groups also celebrating milestones to celebrate the Arts of Grand Marais. The measurable outcomes are five community plays performed by community members for the community and its visitors. The displays around the community of 50 seasons of community theater in Grand Marais. The Playhouse uses ticket sales, participation numbers and participant surveys to evaluate each program and production.
