Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Our goal is to support girls who have talent in writing, or who have a great need to develop their ability to reflect and grow through writing. We are hoping to guide young citizens to becoming productive and successful. In today's world, there is often strong stimulation from technology and social media. We are hoping to provide other outlets for this group of girls to be strong from within, and supportive through productive conversations as well as through their written words. We started with 10 girls the first year. The second year we increased it to 14 girls. In the summer of 2022 we're bringing at least 32 total girls by expanding the experience to two sessions. The true assessment is when the girls share their writing the last night and are so proud of their accomplishments. We plan to send the participants an exit survey to receive feedback about the experience. Our true praise comes from girls who hope to return year after year. We can use this feedback to help promote and tweak the program. Furthermore, we will know we are successful when the girls progress in their education in both high school and college. Their confidence and skill they learn as writers, along with the life skill of being able to give and receive productive criticism shines in the classroom and in their communities.
