Funds will assist Northern Light Opera Company to produce the Making Film Workshop, led by award winning film director David Leidy to facilitate a group of community-based filmmakers in the basics of making their own original films.

As a result of this workshop, participants will gain confidence in approaching making a film; through following the exercises in the workshop, participants will create a film; and, participants will experience the thrill and pride of watching their film come to life. Evaluation methods include a short survey administered after completing the workshop by workshop facilitator, Greg Wright where participants can tell a brief story of how the workshop impacted them. A brief evaluation of the workshop will be completed by the workshop facilitator.
