Funds will assist Northern Light Opera Company to purchase lighting equipment and offer a Lighting Design Workshop with Heidi Eckwall to area youth and theater lighting technicians.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

As a result of this program, each participant in the workshop will have an opportunity for hands-on experience working with lighting instruments and a light board, and will be introduced to the principles of stage lighting will lead to more informed choices about how light is employed in theatrical productions. Evaluation methods will include observations of the participants by the workshop facilitator in regard to their ability to work with lighting equipment in relationship to the lighting principles being taught. Participants will write a summary of the skills and principles they have learned in the workshop.
