As a result of this program, Red Lake Middle School seventh graders will gain knowledge of, awareness of, and experience the process of working with professionals in writing song lyrics, singing a song, creating a recording of a song, and creating a music video through writing a song with Lady Midnight, recording the song with Dex, and creating a music video with Mike Bredon. Evaluation methods include a survey administered the week following the residency to measure the growth and learning that took place in our 7th grade students during the residency. Evaluation methods include a artist survey administered both immediately after and approximately two weeks after the residency to measure the success of the residency and roadblocks in the experience of our artists.
