My goals are to continue developing my artistic skill in creating realism through my paintings and to enter into the art world of northern Minnesota as a working artist. I aim to retire from my non-arts job and spend more time doing what I love most ? painting. I will keep a list of galleries to reach out to and keep notes on the contacts I make. I will also assess my involvement at the Moose Lake Art in the Park event and other art fairs, including community response to my work, a record of what work sells, and notes for improvement in my displays and ways of doing business as an artist. I will feel that the project has been a success if I participate in at least one art fair, connect with at least three different galleries, and have work for sale or as part of an exhibit in at least one of those galleries by the end of the year.
