The funding would help me achieve the goal of completing this art series and displaying it over two years in art centers and other venues in 2022 and 2023. In particular, one work of art could be completed in the timeframe that would be specific to this series, is time consuming and requiring some expense towards materials as well. I have applied to several art centers (i.e., Hopkins, MacRostie, Watermark) with the specific exhibit in mind for that time frame, with work samples similar to the work samples given in this proposal so that you can see exactly what I am working on for this exhibit. My resume shows experience in completion and execution of projects, timetables, goals and art creation. I am familiar with working under a deadline and am able to organizing my time and resources accordingly so that i can complete project in a given timetable. The best example I have in working with others under a time pressure is in the execution and completion of 4 children's picture books, each time working with publishers and their editors in order to communicate, make revisions if needed, and produce the finished art for the storyboards. My experience with shows also has taken place in a timetable and under pressure at times to prepare for shows, and I have always been ready with framed work ready to hang whether it is for a gallery display, art center show or a juried art show. I will know I've been successful when I complete the series and am ready to move on to new works on a new theme. The next two years after completing this artwork would include showing this exhibit -- as I turn to new subject matter inspiring me as an artist. Feedback from the viewers and also from the artist talk I plan to give at each place will also give me indicators on my success in those venues.
