Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The number of Minnesotans who are able to participate in the arts increases. The quality, types and number of arts opportunities in our region, and the organizations or venues that offer them increases. Real or perceived barriers to arts participation and arts access are identified and addressed. New relationships with members of groups that have traditionally been underserved by the arts or by the applicant organization are built. The number of Minnesotans who are engaged in arts education and learning opportunities increases. The quality and types of arts education and learning opportunities in our region, and the organizations or venues that offer them increases. Real or perceived barriers to arts learning are identified and addressed. The variety and number of festivals and traditional arts activities in our region/state increases. Surveys including both quantitative and free response questions will be given for all participants including the authors, teachers, support staff, and audiences. This data will be collected at both the halfway point and end of classes. The results will be tabulated by our director and analyzed by teams of teachers, partners, and authors at the start of each new semester to decide how we improve future classes.

Measurable Outcome(s)

This year we were more intentional about how we asked audience members to fill out and return surveys following our concerts. As a result, we received a larger quantity than in previous years. The benefit to this was the discovery that we are serving more rural residents than we may have realized. This will definitely guide our marketing efforts in the year ahead.
