Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The theater is currently technically equipped to provide live audio reinforcement and light design for on stage performance. This project will increase our technical capacity to record all live performances, stream live to the internet, and create the additional post-production skillset to prepare the recordings for cd, dvd, podcast, video. Furthermore, we will now have the capability to archive performances at the theater for marketing, artistic reference or distribution. The people most effected initially will be our technical committee and our interns. The artists we record will be affected as they will have professional level recordings to use as content to promote themselves and their art. Audiences will be able to view and/or purchase content. I believe our city will benefit as it will finally have a centralized digital archive of community events. Initially each event will offer an opportunity to gather results. Is the livestreamed performance viewed by many in realtime? Is it also viewed afterward? As time passes do we become a go to place to ask for archived event recordings' Do performers want to come to the theater to have their work documented? Do more high school students apply to be production interns' If we find that the answer is yes to these questions than we will know we have achieved our intended goals.

Measurable Outcome(s)

All major performances were successfully recorded, archived and are ready for post-production. Live-streamed content is available on our Facebook page and YouTube channel. We are still in the process of building a workflow that will lead to distribution of physical media. We have set up and put into use a video editing studio. The infrastructure and digital spaces are prepared to house and catalog content as we go through 2020-2021 recordings to make them accessible and downloadable. Our board members benefitted from personal trainings and instruction from audio engineer John Farrell and light technician, Eric Harp. Two artists have received full recordings and edited performances of their work that have been used for continuing promotional materials and grant writing work samples.
