Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

A sense of the outcomes can be picked up through much of the previous writing in this proposal. This piece will belong to the people. Hopefully over time, hundreds will come to know what this work of art is, where it is, and what it means to the community. I would expect that folks would come downtown to enjoy a few moments sharing this art work with friends and family. I would expect that it may be a gathering place where people share their thoughts about the work and how their lives have been impacted by the PCA over many years. Hopefully, the convention and visitors bureau along with the Chamber of Commerce would see it important to list this community art piece as one of those sites to see in St. Cloud. While the impact on cultural tourism will be hard to measure, destinations of this type do in fact draw folks from the region into the city and therefore enhance to the viability of the downtown. People come to have fun, enjoy the sites and sounds, and spend money, all good outcomes for any community.; Access ; Learning ; Community The most significant method of evaluation is simply observation. We can easily see, and count if possible, the number of people who come to the PCA and surrounding area who stop to read about and learn from a new work of art on the street or in the theatre lobby. Secondly, we could set up a guest book to see where people come from who view the piece and perhaps collect comments as well. Word of mouth should spread the story and increase exposure. Though difficult to measure, hopefully the public should be talking about the creation that marks the 100th Anniversary of the Paramount Theatre.
