Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The goal of this project is to produce five videos about winter photography. Each video will have a runtime of around 8 to 10 minutes. The funding requested in this grant will help pay for my time to produce the videos. From previous videos, I've found that they take about one day to shoot assuming the conditions are good and one day to edit each 8 to 10 minute video. That's a significant time to invest in a project without knowing whether or not it will provide a return on investment. During each video, I'm also creating landscape photography. Because I plan on using the grant funding to pay for my time to make the videos and the photos I make while filming, the money will be used directly to meet the state goal of sustaining artists and arts. I've completed ARAC grants consistently and on time in the past, and I will do so again. Additionally, the number of videos I'm planning on producing is only a slight increase from those that I've made in the past. I'll know whether or not I succeed based on the number of videos I produce and if they have an 8 to 10 minute runtime. Additionally, each new video that I've posted on YouTube typically sees at least 200 views in the first week after I release the video. I'll be monitoring the videos to hit that. My stretch goal for this project is to increase the number of views that each video receives in the first week by 5% each video.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The artistic goal of this project was to produce five videos about winter photography. The topics were to be instructional topics and additional topics chosen by social media feedback. I achieved those goals with a range of topics. My fans enjoyed the vlog-style adventures more than the videos devoted specifically to instruction, so that's what I've been producing since the project ended. In addition to producing videos, I also produced landscape photography images when recording. The videos generated 2,082 first week watches for a total of 153.1 hours of total watch time. I gained 57 subscribers in the first week of the videos.
